Prelude Symphonic Ensemble
Prelude Symphonic Ensemble (formerly Prelude String Ensemble) is an introductory orchestra group designed for students in 3rd through 12th grades with at least one year of playing experience who may not be ready for CYSO. With PSE students can:

There are three requirements:
All returning students must re-audition.
- Gain experience playing in a mixed ensemble.
- Improve sight-reading skills.
- Prepare for future placement with CYSO.
How do I join Prelude Symphonic Ensemble?
There are three requirements:
- Students must have at least one year of playing experience.
- Students must be participating in a school music program and/or taking private lessons.
- Students must audition to be admitted, as there is a minimum playing level required. See the PSE Requirements page for specific audition requirements.

PSE Rehearsal Schedule
PSE rehearses on Tuesday evenings 7:15 - 8:15 p.m. in the William J. Huff Recital Hall at Claremont Community School of Music, 951 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711. PSE is grateful to Claremont Community School of Music for the use of its rehearsal facilities.
