Da Capo Strings

Entry-Level Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass)
  • Players with approximately 6 months - 2 years of experience
  • Able to read simple music in first position
  • Working on fundamental bowing and tone production
  • Beginning ensemble and rhythm skills

​DCS is intended for students who are newer to their instrument and learning the foundations of orchestral playing.

New and returning students must audition every year for membership.

DCS Rehearsal Schedule

DCS rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:15 p.m. in the William J. Huff Recital Hall at Claremont Community School of Music, 951 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711. DCS is grateful to Claremont Community School of Music for the use of its rehearsal facilities.
